Our organizing work is making waves at a crucial moment. Since we wrote you last spring, we’ve continued shedding light on workplace abuses and supporting the many low-wage workers who come through our doors. Most importantly, the leadership development of these workers is bearing fruit, as our worker organizer committee has grown larger and stronger.

With your support, we can strengthen our work and pay these workers for stipends for a year. Given the current climate of heightened xenophobia and racism, we believe that it is more crucial than ever to do grassroots organizing and build multiracial working class coalitions.

Our goal this fall is to raise $10,000. Can you donate to support our work?

With these funds, we can expand our organizing, and pay the stipends and training costs for two worker organizers for a year. Stipends support these leaders in conducting outreach to other low-wage workers. Because of these efforts, more workers attend meetings, learn about their rights, give testimony about wage theft, and take collective action.

“I was so caught up with my own business I forget those who were standing next to me struggling. Thanks to the Worker Center, I learn my lesson of solidarity. I was able to feel power rather than feeling hopeless.” --Amherst restaurant worker
